# New Connection Development

Event Connections are 100% open-source and always will be. Existing Connections can be reviewed on our public Github repository, which is where you can also submit issues openly to our platform engineering team.

To view or contribute, check out our [**Connections Repository**](https://github.com/buildable/connections) on Github
{% endhint %}

There are two primary ways of adding a new Connection if it doesn't already exist:

1. **Build it yourself:** using an existing Connection as a template, you can fork the repository, develop a new Connection using the same structure and submit a PR for review.
2. **Open a developer request**: Event has a verified community developer program of 100+ integration engineers. The community includes hundreds of developers, all of which can be hired instantly. This enables Event customers to horizontally scale their integration development overnight.
